Who we are.

Wesley T. Day, CPL

Founder and President

After completing his degree in History at Mississippi College, Wesley got his start in the land management industry in 2003 as an independent landman negotiating leases and researching mineral title.  Over the next several years he worked in several states while developing expertise in all phases of land work, eventually founding Day Energy Land Management, LLC (Day Energy).  Day Energy grew quickly from its inception and has an ever-expanding team servicing the petroleum, renewable energy, and real estate industries along the Gulf Coast and beyond.  Wesley was recognized as the MAPL Landman of the Year in 2019-2020.

Wesley seeks to give back to the industry that has given so much to him.  He has served in several roles, including as president of the Mississippi Association of Petroleum Landmen.  On the national level, he has served the American Association of Professional Landmen as a member of the board of directors, and as a committee chairman.

Wesley resides in Madison, Mississippi, with his wife and three kids.  He enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, traveling, trail running and backpacking.
